I have a cable connection and have made the latest tweaks from this site.
Cable speed: 3mb
OS: win 98se

My problem is that when I test my connection speed with IE6 I get a result of about 2950kbs

When I test with Opera 8.5 I get 400 to 800kbs

When I test with Foxfire 1.5 or the latest moszilla I get around 1100kbs.

I run all these tests in about 10minutes time, and have repeated these tests for about a month.

Also the Opera and Mozilla browsers load pages very slowly compared to IE6.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Also Opera and mozilla may need some tweaking, I dont know about opera, but for a quick fix of firefox try downloading the extension "fasterfox" and set the preset to "optimized"
