Wow...no jumping and throwing of any object at all. The choppers are simply sitting ducks to AA now and the G36C friggin owns still. Try out the support class in the blackhawk....post patch it seems like you can rack up the supply points similar to pre 1.03

The PKM is much better.

Couple boards say the sniper class has been substantially upgraded.....the rifles are very accurate now.

I noticed that they are accurate now! its nice to be able to hit what you aim at! i like the patch so far. Guns are more balanced it seems plus no more of that diving around killing people noob style! :D

Tactics pay off like they should. I think squad play will finally be like it should! :D

i think they killed the real feel for the game not allowing you to jump and pull the trigger.. I can do this.. I may not be accurate but with training I could be.. these are supposed to be WW3 Combat elite!!??! EA is really being stuipd to listen to a bunch of cry babys whine over the grenade launchers which is where most of it started.

:D LOL, you mean if you were in the heat of battle you would be running around Jumping like a fool? Maybe they shoulda made it so you could shoot, but shoulda made it a waste of ammunition. Kina like the sqad weapon was prior to this patch! :D

Serously tho these combat elite WW3 fighters are taught to use cover and concielment and hit fast and hard. Not to run around spraying and praying!

I agree that they listened to a bunch of cry babies but they certainly didnt ruin the game.

I must be a cry baby! i think jumping around with a nade launcher in a squad based war sim is rediculious. They shoulda just put in a halo2 sword if they kept it like that! :D :D :D

It's not a war sim....its an arcade game.

You know that might be the problem with this game. They need to decide if they want mass counter strike like gameplay or lean toward ghost recon with tons of people....

I will take teh realism any day. Something about a well placed shot that drops a guy without him even knowing you were there that makes me tingly inside! :thumb:

its no longer FPS since in all FPS games you were able to Jump and shoot...
I remember Predator 1 in that squad they had a few guys were using nade launchers... so whats the difference? Make it real EA!

so is this an all inclusive patch or do i need to step it?
Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

WTF!?

Community Update - 2/20/06

Listen up Troops,

Although patch 1.2 included several fixes that we know were eagerly awaited, it unfortunately introduced some new issues. These are being addressed immediately and we are working around the clock to resolve those. Patch 1.21 (coming soon) will be tested in a limited beta with select Battlefield community members starting as early as this week. We’re doing this to ensure a clean release of 1.21. In addition, we have decided to postpone the Euro Force Booster Pack until sometime after the release of the updated 1.21 patch.

Stick to this web space for additional information soon.

On a more pleasant note, Battlefield 2 hit somewhat of a milestone last night with over 52,000 simultaneous players. This is the highest number of players we’ve seen at one time for Battlefield 2 and almost 4 times more than the peak number of Battlefield 1942.

Thanks in advance for your patience.

Ohh yeah it introduced alot of issues.. and really screwed up some things that were fine with the game if you ask me... the being able to dive is natural same with jumping and shooting... only thing needing to be fixed was C4 tossing. Now we have several users running around with red bugs.. the missles getting locked on flame towers then shooting out of them towards jets, 3D distance icons popping up several meters under the ground, AT rockets going through tanks and APC's hell I could go on and on about issues they have screwed up... They need to worry more about fixing the game rather than screwing it up and take there time on a patch rather than this

sorry but I don't think it will be clean.. perhaps even more screwed up than this one is what I see comming.
