Ok, i read the article in EWeek , and did the workaround.... but still find myself puzzled ( not hard for a dumb doggy , rehehe ) but I dont use thumbnails.
I hate when Windows reverts to them in the folder view, and always go back to my list view.
So now that I unregistered that .dll does that mean I wont have that problem with the thumbnails ?

nothing like my Virtual Spitfire Mk IXc and a few wingmen to cover my 6 !
from what i read, that workaround unregisteres the Windows Picture and fax viewer, from opening the Windows MetaFiles...(WMF)....your thumbnail viewing won't be affected with that.
To change the view, make it go to List view, which is what I use as well. Then you have to go to Folder Options, Either in Windows Explorer, goto Tools, Folder Options, then click on the View tab, then click Apply to all Folders, this will last until you reboot your computer, and then you'll have to follow the same steps again.
