IMHO it means they think you're right, but they'll never admit it, so they get defensive instead.

there might be a problem/issue if you come across this

i agree with blisster a lot of times when i get defensive its because i think im being bullied or whatever. when i feel guilty im usually nicer than usual, not defensive. could just be me.
