D-Link Adapter!

Please can someone help me!I can't get my D-Link DWL-510 wireless pci adapter to recognize my D-Link DI-514 Wireless router,it keeps telling me it's disabled.It's 2.4ghz.can this be accomplished without cat 5 cable?Thanks.

If the card is disabled it can not talk to a Router.

It might say disabled because it is Not configured correctly.

Make sure that the drivers are installed and that there is No ghost in the Device Manager ( http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost )
