The wife is now 35 weeks along. Today we found out that she is 2 centimeters dialated and that the Doctor wont let her go past 38 weeks since she has gestational diabetes. Anyway, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that everything goes smoothly for her and the baby.
Thx

Everything is gonna be ok. As long as they know beforehand, then they will handle it with kid gloves. You guys must be extremely excited. Let us know when the big day happens!

Thanks for the prayers guys. My apologies if I made things sound grim there. She has had gestational diabetes before and we knew she had it this time. There is no reason at this point to suspect any issues will occur, but with gestational diabetes having a large kid is always a possibility so they take precautions. Other then that its typically normal.

Hey roody....was just thinking about you this morning....what a coincidence!!!
I am sure the baby will be fine at this point! You will be in my prayers! As a former gestational diabetic, I can tell you that 38 weeks will be plenty.....63 pounds for me, 10 pound 11 ounce baby boy!!!!! Doctor said...oh, we will take him 2 weeks early, but he will likely still be big...maybe pushing 9 pounds!!!!! I just laughed!!!!!!
Have fun!!! What a blessing! Let us know!!!

Just got back from the ultrasound. It was confirmed that it is in fact a girl. She is roughly 6lbs 13 ounces right now and is head down, face up. They prefer them to be face down, but its not as big of a deal as being breech would be. The ultrasound suggests she is 36 weeks and 3 days as opposed to 35 weeks and 3 days.
Anyway, thats all for now.
