Happy Friday all. I've snuck the console onto 8 or 9 processors now. Before Cat started this thread the last time I'd folded for SG was in 2001 with an overclocked 366 cele
. Now all I need is someone to write a program that will deploy the console to all PC's in my domain at 7PM every night and remove it in the morning before people get to work

Much as we appreciate helping the cause, I'll insert the appropriate warnings about installing on business computers without proper permission. You'd be surprised...it will often be allowed, especially if you have a few workstations that don't run heavy loads, just "ask", explain what it is, many bosses are happy to allow it to run and help!DV wrote:Happy Friday all. i just started using the no nonsense with the service installer to eliminate that problem.....and here i thought i was the only one to experience that annoying problemIllini25 wrote:I had the exact same problem Shaggy with BF42, BFV and BF2. I turned off F@H and it would work. I can't remember exactly what I did..but now I run F@H and play BF2 at the same time. I started eliminating background programs until I was in the clear If im not mistaken. I mean, it's not really a big deal...Just do like you mentioned...I just right clicked on the folding icon and selected "pause work" and when i was finished playing, ticked it back. But now I don't even have to do that.
Mark might remember that problem I had few months back? Can't remember exactly what I did though.![]()

[O/T]SG Folding Team No.
Can't find the info anywhere here or the F@H forum site itself. What team # is SG Folding? I need to change the config on my system.
Speedguide is team 15.
if you are running console mode, make sure you do /configonly when you run it so you can change the team number and user name directly and any other settings you need to change..
In windows GUI there will be an options selection. in there will be all the settings you can change..

go to http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html
and get the
Windows NT/2000/XP
"No-nonsense" text-only console (with built-in Windows-service-install option)
version
put it in a folder on your machine and run it.
answer yest to run it as a server and then after you reboot it will be invisible and automatically goto 0% system resources when you launch bf2. i have had problem running the gui version and bf2 so i switched to this version

I run it regular (choose not to install it as as service). I shut them down when I'm about to game, and I start them back up again when I'm done gaming. Shortcuts on the desktop.Sava700 wrote:i wonder how my FX 55 will do.
and I'd like to figure out how to put it on and disable it when running battlefield.
