Lucky in one way but..... (Car trouble)

Post by Croc »

The wonderful Mrs. C arrived home last night with a boot full of groceries and steam pouring out from under the hood of our V6 Toyota Camry.
Lifted it to check out what was wrong and found a 4" split in the top radiator tank.
Today will be taken getting that repaired/replaced to get it back on the road.

Grrrrrr........... did not need this!!!!

could be worse. My car may or may not have a blown head gasket and was showing same effects prior to popping the hood.... :( haven't had a chance yet but it may only be a hose that goes into the back of the engine... hopefully

Hopefully that's all it is Rosco.

Just rang around for quotes. $250 to $400 for a top tank replacement and system check.
Time is less than I thought. 4 hours and it's back on the road.

It's cool Tynk & Rosco.
At least it's done and Mrs.C can go and earn without stranding me at home. lol

Update........

They didn't do all they were going to cause now there's other issues with the motor so it only cost $298-00.
Now we have to book it in for a leaking head gasket dammit!!! Bubbles in the coolant. Grrrrrr. $3000.00 in repairs this year so far!!!

It's time to go......... Toyota Camry!!!
