If i leave my computer for a few hours, my internet shuts off

Post by TrevGlas »

Hi guys, just wondering if I could get some help here, I'm running a linksys BEFSX41 router with a motorola SB5101 cable modem, all the latest firmware and drivers. If I go to like a friends house or something, I come back and my connection is killed. I have to reset the modem to get connectivity back. This gets really annoying especially when I'm trying to download a huge file or something. Any thoughts?

Try looking under your network card properties under power management. Make sure nothing is checked to allow computer to shut off to save power. Had that happen alot to customers before having that same problem.
