Help LapTop Problem

i have a Toshiba Protege 3110CT and cant seem to find anywhere on the net what the bios key wud be to boot in bios...to re order the boot order...reason being it has windows NT and passworded out and i got it from work..i dont kno the pw so i need to re format its just something i want to mess around with if u can give me any info on how to bypass it i would appreciate it...thanks

try all of the F Keys, one of them is bound to be it..

there aren't that many keys to try out altogether

Most Toshi's are Esc or F1..depending on the model
However...NT 4...FYI a quick Google and you can find little Linux boot disks which allow you to reset the passwords easily...save yourself some time.

nice...thanks much everyone...im goin to try to get that linux boot **** to reset the pw...and if i cant get that to work ill try th esc. f1 key..thanks much everyone for ur time and effort i really appreciate it... : )

ohhh btw the login is ran by some program called Novell i believe...it was a computer used at a Scudder Kemper deuchte bank...im not sure if i spelled deuchte bank right i think there is an s somewhere in there anyways...once again thanks much everyone that helped me out : ) or gave it a shot and tried i really appreciate it : )

Oh...a Novell login...heh...change to a local workstation login...then uninstall the Client32 for Novell Networks...you don't want that client for a computer not connected to a Novell server.

well..i have a bit of a problem that esc f1 thing did work...but...for some reason i still cant log in..and when i boot the computer i have an option of booting it up in either nt 4.0 or nt 4.0 (VGA) ...im not sure wut the difference is and wut not...and as far as switching it up from the log in screen ive tried that doesnt seem to work ...i pull open tabs and there is only one thing to click and its the one thing thats its using...lol...ill start it up and give more details if u dont understand me..once again thanks much

Format it with win2k pro if there is no critical data.
