After teasing and having some fun with my "Mighty Mouse" status..and having some fun teasing about it..cause that is all I can do! I just wonder if anyone else here struggles with trying to put some weight on?? I have had so many people tell me..I wish I had YOUR problem...being a bit too thin...and them saying...I will TRADE ya!! I do not think they realize that the flip side of the coin can be just as difficult
Does anyone here???..besides me?

Quite the opposite in fact for myself. Here's a recipe guaranteed to put a bit of weight on ya, if it doesn't then theres no hope!
Pelau
Ingredients:
* 1 whole chicken, cut up in bite size pieces (no skin )
* salt, pepper to taste
* 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
* 3 stalks of chive, chopped
* 1 stalk thyme, chopped ( substitute with dried thyme, if necessary)
* 2 tablesps. oil for frying
* 1 tablesp. brown sugar
* 2 cups cleaned and washed rice
* 1 can pigeon peas, drained
* 1 tablsp. soy sauce
* 1 green hot pepper
* 2 cups thick coconut milk ( if possible, freshly made )
Method
1) Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic, chive, thyme and marinate over night, or at least for one hour
2) In iron pot heat up oil, add sugar and brown until the sugar has turned into a rich brown syrup.
3) Add meat to the pot and cook for about 5 mins. until meat is brown on all sides.
4) Add a small portion of water and cook meat for about 20 mins.
5) Add drained can of pigeon peas.
6) Add soy sauce and toss up.
7) Add cleaned rice and stir well.
8) Cover with coconut milk ( may have to add some water).
9) Float green hot pepper on top ( do not burst pepper ) and simmer on slow fire until rice is cooked.
( you may have to add a little water from time to time ) and stir pelau in between. Water has to evaporate completely, but rice has to be cooked, not hard.
I would also marinate the chicken with a TBS of brown sugar and juice of one lime. If you cannot get chick peas then black eyed peas or split peas are acceptable. Don't stir to much, you should develop a rich brown crust on the bottom the "bun bun" considered to be the best part.

Well, I could put some weight on ya, but it would only be temp...
When I was young (
) I had a problem gaining weight. (Yeah, I know, all of the speed and coke IV's didn't help
) anyway, drinking the powdered protein mix is what seemed to get me going... (that or maybe age...
)
Now, I can add that protein is available in a ready made warm liquid form...

I know people well over 200 lb's I out eat on a daily basis. My metabolism just won't let me break or go below 170 lbs. They say that one day your metabolism will go away. Thats about the estimate for me. Some day. From early 20's to late 50's and some never lose it. Your body will determine when you gain weight. Unless you just don't eat enough.
<-Right here. I have to eat soooooo much to gain freakin 5 lbs. I eat full whole meals right before bed and sleep on it, and I bearly gain.
As stupid as this sounds, you have to eat till your stomach cannot hold anymore. You have a very fast metabolism, you have to find the amount of calorie intake where it cannot burn it all and will start storing fat.

I have had this problem for years. I eat everything in sight and I just won't put on the weight. I will eat good food, junk food, fast food... I have been 120 - 125 lbs for the last few years, I might be up to 130 now, but I haven't checked in a long time. I have tried to work out and eat and put weight on in muslce etc etc etc... no go. I really wish I could put on about 20 pounds or so... but doesn't seem like that will ever happen. Damn my metabolism!!!!
