Laptop Sound

Im in a dilemna, to get the External Audigy 2 NX or use the laptop sound that is in my thinkpad r51... Would mainly be for movies and musix

Audio output compliant standards AC '97, DirectSound

Just get a decent pair of speakers.

Depends on how you use your lappy. Always fixed on a desk in a docking station? You might be able to get some nice speakers.

Using it on the go, with headphones? I'd not bother.

You recently get the R? I've been rolling out a bunch of the T42/T43 and X41 series lately..nice rigs. Love them X41 ultra portables. Have an older T23 that's my main lappy now (P3m 1.2, 512 megs), also an older 600.(P3 500)

well id say keep the sc in there right now..i mean unless are you going to be using it for any recording of your own music..or making some sorts of beats or songs...if not then just stick to the on board sc that it has..no reason really to waste money if ur not using the sound for anything really special..
