When i play san andreas for pc it runs smoothly for a short period before the game starts to lag out and get choppy. All my system requirements go above and beyond the recommended computer for this game. After a while the game crashes out to desktop and some of my friends have suggested it might be a "memory leak". Does that have to do with the ram in my pc or is it the game. I've run MANY games that are more demanding on resources than this is including Doom III, FarCry, Half Life 2, etc. without problems.
The game simply won't run in windows XP mode so i had to change it to win98 compatibility. graphics look great, draw distance is reduced, i've tried reinstalling 4 times. If anyone knows of a patch or something i can rename, move around, delete, download to edit or whatever, please let me know. thanks a ton in advance guys.

San Andreas Memory Leak?

I had that problem to...then i took my game to the shooting range....(very very short temper here) so my advice would be to go to http://www.rockstar.com and talk to them
If it was up to me...I'd stab the computer if a knife if it messes up D:<

this may not sound very logical , but you could try:
starting the game and then minimize it -> task manager (ctrl+alt+delete) -> processes
find the process for the game and right click it , then go to "set priority". If there isn't a bullet point next to "normal" then click "normal" ... if there already is a bullet point next to it , then click on "low". However , this could make it worse. If it does get worse , put it back to what it was before.
