Hey man. Always good to see you posting as we know you are safe & sound.

Did you read some of the things that site was saying???? Maybe it was just me but it definitly had undertones of anti-moslem and definitly Anti-democrat (Blamed Clinton for a lot of stuff) ..I thought it was way off base with a lot of who they are Blaming.
Talking about Hollywood, Porno, High School Oral sex clubs and all kinds of stuff..sounds like a Conservative Christian run site for sure. It also seems like it was a Pre-election Re-election website for Bush. Its probably old and outdated because a lot of the stuff hes claiming the terrorists will accomplish under Kerry if he's elected, is already occuring under his recommended way of leadership.

IMO All this "Have we forgotten" stuff is just going to hold us at this same point in history and not allow us to move on and continue.

You dont have to scream or put never forgot or ask people if they have forgotten about any major event. Now if you were askign how many cars a person passed before getting to their first stop sign in their travels for the day, they may have needed a reminder to answer.

Pie
Pie,

Thanks for your kind words,

Actually it is from a Retired Anchor Clanker, "Navy" and he is a devoted supporter of the troops, he just states the facts as he see's them.

Took your thoughts in and digested them, very interesting words you stated.

Maybe the way he put the script together it is old, and sounds like he is Pro Bush.

His words and thoughts are 100% pure Patriot, he see's what is happening and is tired of it.

I do admit that i am as all my friends tell me; in the following quote.

Of every one-hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are nothing but targets, nine are real fighters...

We are lucky to have them, they make the battle...

AH but ONE, one of them is a Warrior...
he will bring the others back

Heraclitus c. 500 B.C.

I am that as i want to free the oppressed, i live by my motto and so do my friends.

Are we wrong?

God himself will judge us, and we all are ready to accept his decision.

YOS,

Yes you have a good point; so we shall just give up and come back home and all the men and women we lost gave there lives for nothing.

I know you did not mean that in your statement, but it is to that point right now that everybody who gave there life will be for nothing.

As everybody just wants to forget about 9/11 and pretend it never happened, and it will not happen again.

Come on we all are smarter then that, and know it can and might happen again.

Stop taking everything forgranted.

Everyone does not want to forget, everyoen does not need to be force fed to not forget, but we do need to move on, not relax and let it happen again, it happened we need to learn from it and adapt.

As to how smart we all are, the bigger the group the less intelligent we are.

I dont take everything forgranted, buit this corporate fake/forced patriotism isnt somethign worth continuing.

Patriotism is not worth continuing if i understood you right?

You are so wrong, because of Patriotism you are free now. Because of it we have what is called the United States of America.

The Fore Fathers and everybody that gave there lives gave you that.

And for you to say Patiotism is not worth continuing.

You need to think where you are and who you are.

My condition, you need to wake up and see what is going on.

Read the words, i can read very good, and understand so much.

Faked or forced words, will let my Iraqi fiance post now;

You want to know about faked or forced words, you should of been here while Sadam was. We could not say anything do anything, only do as he worshiped.

And now you are telling my BaghDaddy he is wako, you are so wrong. Because of him and other's we are free, to make our decisions, our lives are free. We will not be raped we will not be put in jail for no reason.

Me again.

You are the one that needs to have an evaluation, sit back and think.

As you are the typical type that takes all forgranted. You wil wake up have your breakfest, your lunch, and then dinner. Then start over you exact same day.

Why do you have that?

Think about it.

I have that because of millions of people, and not all are soldiers, police, or politicians.

I dont take my level of living forgranted, and i do care about how it is protected, and I dont agree with how its been handled high up, and since it is my life, I will voice my opinion. i still respect the men and meggies( :p ) that fight for it or are willing to, but I will not live in this fear of another attack, what for, so that I just about wish my freedom away?

The patriotism i was talking about are the adds and commericals offering deals and sales to the public and chime in with a we support the troops banner/saying. Well if they support the "troops" why don't the "troops" get a better deal, or why not offer it just for the "troops" I'm sure that most places showing support dont help out the "troops" anymore than a lazy **** like me.

I will buy your ticket over here, you can go out with me for a week. And then you will have a different point of view.

Take me up on that challenge.

Better yet go sign-up for a tour, if you are man enough.

I think what YoS is getting at (correct me if I am wrong) is that you see businesses with these "We support the Troops" banners but then they dont do anything special for the troops...the wont put their money were their mouthes are at. Its becoming very cliche to say that you support the troops.

He doesn't need to change anything. He wouldn't be YoS if he did. Just his thoughts.

If you thought his thoughts about patriotism needed to be changed, you certainly would not want to hear about mine. Nonetheless, we respect yours.

Is his point that we need to take out the terroist leaders because the "neutral muslim" who are "23% of the worlds population" will eventually serve the terroist cause? His article seems very anti-muslim.

Thats not very fair to measure a person by his wanting to go to war. That shouldn't be what makes a man.
I would imagine that there are many people in the very beginning of the war that believed Our President and the administration and the reasoning behind this war and went into it full on believing it was true. I would imagine now that things have come to light and that there were mistakes made, misinformation, improper intel or what have you, that has changed some peoples minds and yet they still stay there. That doesn't make them any less of a man or woman either.
I would just hope you all come back home to your families safe and sound and as quickly as situations would allow.
It does no use to argue about this amongst ourselves. As its been said we all have our opinions and our own perceptions of how things are viewed.

I agree with you Pie. I just have a problem when someone feels they have the right to tell someone else that they have to change their point of view about Patriotism for whatever their reason is.

Boy is that site full of propaganda!

Bush good...Clinton bad...

If you don't support the war, your not patriotic. Right.....

I support our troops 100 percent. I'd say most Americans do too. Of course we can't leave right now. Once we started in Iraq, we have to follow it through. The news ECHOES the same message. Because they show death? It that part of what the site is getting at? It's NEWS! That what it's always done...Do they show some of the good? YES! At times you even get to see the children interact with soldiers.

The bad news? A war waged against terrorism that's pure idiocy. Where's Bin Laden? He's the one who's to blame for 9-11. NOT Saddam. NOT Clinton, NOT Bush, NOT liberals, and NOT Conservatives....

Because there is a movement here to not support this administration in their failed war, doesn't mean that they aren't flag waving Americans.

Now on to the military. It's made up of people from all walks of life. Including liberals, and others that this administration LOVES to characterize as non-patriotic. This is the same bunch who slandered Kerry on his Viet Nam duty. Who slandered Bob Kerrey over his Viet Nam duty, who slander Max Clealand over his Viet Nam duty and who are STILL slandering John McCain over his military duty. Man don't even get me started on who's who in actually serving this country in our military when it comes to this bunch.. There's quite a few chickenhawks to be sure.

Because there are those who think Bush was wrong on his timing to go to Iraq, doesn't mean they don't support the military. Most of us KNOW someone over there right now.

Wake up America! I agree. Support your troops!! We DO! So far this is NOTHING like Viet Nam. I do hope it never gets to that either.

I'm not saying nor will I say nor have I ever said that Saddam didn't need taken care of. He did. It's just that this is poor timing. Now the Bush team is changing it's tune on why we're there. Funny, it's expected though. Since no WOMD were found...they have to grasp at something.. Especially since the Downing memo came out, the Plame scandal, and even another CIA agent who's about to testify that he warned his superiors that the intelligence was full of bull....but was ingnored. It just goes on and on and on...

Meanwhile.....I'd LOVE it if this administration would actually think about their actions or lack of actions other than their pocketbooks..

BD...let me personally thank you for your service. :thumb: What you do is a very large sacrifice to be sure.

Very nicely put DH.

BagDaddy

I support the troops 100%, I respect the office of the president, but do not back his policy. I am an honorably discharged Vetran and am a patriot. I am a 10 year member of the American Legion family, the largest vetrans organization in the world. If you tell me I am not a Patriot because I disagree with the Bush propiganda, I will disagree. If you give me enough video footage and the proper equipment I or any good producer can make it slant to whatever we wanted to or whatever agenda we wanted to back either for or against the war. The video is just that a video that was produced to fit propaganda nothing more.

God bless you and all that serve and God's speed home.
