Post by Slayerbtvs »

I installed the faster d/l speed patch and the faster web page viewing patch... Now it seems like my IE is totally screwy as speeds are slow and things take a while to load.. Stupid me never backed up his registry,(probably cuz i didnt kno how) so I was wondering if anyone has the numbers to restore Win ME back to the way it was, or should i reinstall IE, any ideas? I really need help, thanks

Use sguide_default_9x.zip

I thought that only works for Win 98, cuz to me it implies it restores settings specific to win 98 and not ME, unless the settings are the same for ME and 98

Me is based on the same 9x kernel as 95/98/98se so it should work fine.

For next time, you can backup your Registry by typing "regedit" in the Run... line under the Start Button. Then select, Registry | Export Registry File and save this to a safe place. To restore your Registry to this state, just double click on the file.

This works in Win98, and I THINK the same holds for WinME...
