ADSL sharing over wireless router?

Post by ramon82 »

Hi

I need to share an ADSL connection with 2 PCs over wireless. I connected a wireless router to the ADSL modem through the WAN port by attaching a straight UTP cable. Now I would like to know how I can connect the PCs (both have wireless adapters in them) to the wireless router and share the ADSL connection? Can you show me how or provide me with some instructions please thanks.

Notes: The ADSL modem has an ip address of 10.0.0.138 and to connect to my ISP we create a VPN connection on the PC and specify that IP and the user/password and thats all.

Have you tried the Windows XP wireless networking wizard?

Your ISP shouldn't be requiring a VPN connection. Why are you doing that?

By its nature, a VPN will not "share" anything. It is designed to go from one computer on your network to a VPN connection on another network.

Are the 2 pc's detecting your network? Have you got a WEP key from the router?
