Does this look real enough?

Did I question your numbers? I don't remember.

This seems very reasonable. I get similar results with my Terajet modem.

Michfan,

You probably aren't on an upgraded node. From what I understand, all nodes will be upgraded soon (1-2 weeks?). Once that's done, most people have seen about a 50% increase in their speed. You'll probably get above 500KB once you are upgraded.

It's probably not your pc at all, as long as you have tweaks from here or elsewhere.

Lex does that CMTS upgrade (thats the upgrade you talking about?) going to help pings?

Help pings?! It didn't change my ping any, but that's a GOOD thing :) You get bad pings?

Go to www.dslreports.com. I think if you register and go to www.dslreports.com/test you can download a ping tester. It pings like 100s of sites all over the country and gives you an average.

I got 45ms. I think I'm pretty happy with that at peak time too.

I dont know which nodes are upgraded or not. I'm not sure you'd get 425KB on a non-upgraded node, but you could. People on upgraded nodes are getting close to 600KB at times.

Join this board for OOL members. There are OOL techs there and if you post your IP, they might tell you if your node has been upgraded. http://www.egroups.com/list/lioptonline/info.html

I think some have been upgraded this week. Some still to come.
