WTB Dead seagate 160 gig
WTB Dead seagate 160 gig
Ok guys and gals I had a recent Dumba$$ attack and I need a seagate 160 gig Barracuda 7200 8mb cache drive. And I need it to be a dead drive because I need the circuit board on the bottom. Here is the model number ST3160023A. If anyone could help that would be great.
If he RMA's it they will give him back a refurb without his data. I guess just the circuit board is shot on his and not his heads,plates or motor.Burke wrote:Can you not RMA the dead drive to Seagate?

Copy the data off , put the board back on the new drive , return it and do a Advanced RMA on the original dead drive. Should have it within a few days.
