my thoughts are this,I have 2 bbq's and a smoker,I bought the smoker about 5 years ago and have used it twice to actually smoke anything,I don't really like 100% smoked food,so I modified it into a killer bbq.

it's just one of those cheapo $30 bullet shaped smokers from home depot, but I'll tell you what,I use it more for my best cuts than either of my 2 other expensive bbq's,

I have a gas bbq for quickie burgers and dogs etc,etc

I have a low profile charbroil charcoal bbq for thinner cuts and fish,

and then there is my baby,my little smoker bbq that I use for my good thick cuts and roasts,I use real mesquite charcoal in it and it cooks better and I get some SERIOUS smoke out of it during cooking,,,,

I have an electric dehydrator that works good for jerky,

my my personal .02,I would'nt buy another smoker, unless it was to modify like I did mine LOL

other than that,my advice would be to tell you to get a real water charcoal/wood burning smoker and not an electric,to try it if you are going to.

Much as I love smoked food, surprisingly I don't have a smoker. Something I always had in mind to get, but just never got around to getting one.

Smoked bluefish...smoked beef strips, yum yum.

Sorry, no input for ya here. :(

Fathers day weekend I picked this one up and i'm very happy with it. I tossed some baby backs and a pork loin on and they were excellent.... I would recommend this anyone. Great quality and a great price.
