Looks like mine is up to 182 days.

Remember... WinZip is not free.

I haven't used or installed Winzip since WinXP came out, XP natively supports zip files. On older OS's, I've used Enzip...lightweight, and nag free.

Nope, this is my work laptop. If you've ever setup ACAD for networks and plotters you know why I keep the system tidy and dread DREAD formats. 2000 Pro on the rig, services and all that jazz have been tweaked. Runs smooth for October 2002 install eh?

My wife's dad has an older CAD program (Anvil 2k) with plotter and the weird pad for tools and such. Yes, I know it is a huge pain in the ass. I hate working on their PC.

I use WinRAR for personal stuff, but too many clients use ZIP files and you think I'm going to try to explain how to work with WinRAR? Ha!

Uh....

Works just like any other zip program.

Add files > select compression > zip file

if it had the option in the "right click" menu to compress to ZIP, I would use it all the time. But it doesn't... so I don't.

Nah.
it also has a direct to RAR on the right click menu

so in 2 steps it can compress to RAR

in 2 steps you can also uncompress zip or rar, hold down the right mouse button and drag a rar or zip file, then click on uncompress here

I only use Winrar to compress/decompress stuff and I use it as a file browser as Winrar > Windows Explorer.
