UMM this site is full of patches so spend some time reading it if you come accross terms you don't understand go to www.whatis.com ......to test your download speed you can try www.computingcentral.com... on the page go to broadband then bandwidth // then speed test .................www.2wire.com is another one many of them out there.....also you can get you gateway address and ping it...shouldn't really read much higher than 15 milliseconds

The Computing Central test is NOT accurate due to it being too cache sensitive. DSLR's tests used to be accurate, however, they no longer seem to be, at least not for me.

The best way to test is to download a relatively large file from a fast site, such as download.com, microsoft.com, etc.

You may want to contact your provider about your caps, if any.

As for patches, see here.

You can also download a nifty little file here called NetPerSec that will give you instantaneous readings on your speed from whatever site you are downloading from...it's a cool program and I use it all the time...plus, it's free :D

Get NetstatLive, its an awesome proggy, similar to the one that IndyOST mentioned, but Netstat is better IMO, and also the most widely used on the boards. Also Free :)

I use cablenut at www.cablenut.com. It's an easy one shot deal, and has an uninstall if you decide to change. I also run W2K pro and have RR.

Another site this seems to be reasonably accurate is www.pcpitstop.com. You can measure download, upload, and ping. :D
New keyboard, but still no "any" key.

Get DuMeter. It puts a small bar graph on your display and numbers so you have an instantaneous and history of your throughput.
