Brembo went to Disneyworld...
I mistakenly thought the kids were still in school. I assumed the weather would maintain its cool day and colder night’s pattern. I dragged Brembo for this fun-filled weekend full of magical characters and stomach churning rides. We were to spend Friday at Disneyworld and Saturday at Islands of Adventure.
Well, apparently parents all over the country take their children out of school or I am unaware of a scheduled school vacation in May. The temperatures rose to 86 degrees with high humidity. Brazen children, fatigued parents, long lines, and the scorching sun, we lasted one day.
But amidst the chaos and justifications for spending one hundred and twenty dollars for five rides, there was a small spark of enjoyment, one moment of hilarity that I must share with you.
During a darkened ride on Space Mountain, Brembo giggle uncontrollably, just like a girl.
The buildup to the actual ride lasted 40 long minutes in line, so when we finally sat in the last car, he was ready to jump out of his skin. I would like to consider myself a roller coaster aficionado, I have seem many drops and dips, turns and twists, and I would no more rate Space Mountain a legitimate “screamer” coaster as I would rate Beringer blush a good wine. Yet for some reason, this tiny ride that allows small children on, brought Brembo to fits of high pitched laughter. He could not shut himself up if his life depended on it - through the entire ride, on the exit ramp, and out into the gift store.
Now don’t let him deny it. My mother heard him because my cell phone called her number while it banged around in his pocket. She thought she was listening to me. When I told her it was her future son-in-law, she too laughed hysterically.

Hi downhill! I can tell you know him well. No obvious seizures on his part, but we do know where every designated smoking area in the park is.downhill wrote:Ah heck.....it's just that for all the tough talk...he's really just a kid at heart...
To bad it was so crowded...How did he do with that? Do you have any pics of his eyes buggin' out? Skin color stay under scarlet? Inquiring minds want to know!
Nice to see a post from you, Lilith!
I took his picture with Minnie Mouse...
Keep that phone away from the night stand
How did he do with the six foot fricking rat?
<edit, I see I was too slow. It is a RObin Williams line btw>
Too bad about the lines, but is there ever a time when Disney World is not busy? I don't remember Disney Land ever having short lines, but it has been years since I have been there.
Next time put him in a wheel chair, you can go right to the front of the lines, especially if you put a helmet on him
Glad you had fun

Brembo and Minnie seem to be soul mates. He drawed the line at posing with Goofie.De Plano wrote:Keep that phone away from the night stand![]()

End of September has always been a good time to go for me in the past. So much for trying something new.
Wheelchair, helmet...brilliant.
