It's Thursday, time for our scrim against The LAW@8pm EST

Post by JawZ »

One map, Gazala. I will lock down our server promptly at 7:30pm EST. Password will be:

sgscrim

I will reopen the server to the public NLT 9:30pm EST.

So I sure do hope that all of you who said you could make it will be there. If you can't make it, then we need to know now because this clan needs to scrim against somebody and if it aint us, then they need time to schedule with someone else.

this is set to be a 12v12 scrim. So we need 12 bodies.

If we don't have solid numbers by 5PM EST...that is in 35 minutes, I'll be calling the scrim. We'll forfeit the scrim.

We'll see. I really hope we do because in a way, our reputation is on the line. People like our server because we handle it in a mature fashion. We get positive word-of-mouth this way. When we accept a challenge for a scrim by a clan...hell, when we are OFFERED a scrim, we should be all over it like white on rice because it's not only a chance for us to come together as a team/community...it's a chance to sell ourselves, sell the Speedguide name, and to spread the news that we have a kick ass gaming community.

Win, lose or draw....we get positive word of mouth.

The clan community is pretty tight. When a clan talks, other clans listen....if the LAW guys say to others that we have a good thing going on here at Speedguide, others will notice. You think it's busy now.....heh, wait till we scrim a few others.

Why do you think the most laggy servers are almsot always the busiest servers? Because they get great word of mouth about the people that are on it. Tom Clancy Game servers are atrocious!!!!!!! Horrible....lag from hell, but you know what, they are a good group of core players there and they give a great fight. Lot's of top players frequent there despite the horrendous lag.

We on the other hand have a great server with great latency and little lag. It's admined MORE than 90% of the servers out there and it's admined by mature folks who normally don't make bad calls.

With all of that....bad word of mouth spreads just as fast. If we accept a challenge for a scrim, we should make good on it.

Now I'm not directing this at anybody in particular and I realize that everybody has a schedule/work/family committments....but we already renegged on one offer and now we are faced with another.

I hope people don't think that we need to win this scrim....we just need to show up and play. It will be a huge boost for us in the long run.

Look man, you know that you're more than welcome to play. Nobody here is a fill-in, if you want to play....you will play. I will sit out before I tell someone they can't play. Tonight...it's just one map. We'll switch sides and that is that.

little_girl and i (Binap) should be there. is there a "captain" or otherwise someone to bark out orders? i'd do whatever is required, although i like flying the best, otherwise i'd be gunner for little_girl if kholsaet doesn't show (who is normally his gunner).

i've only got a half hours time, so I should be the one to sit out if we have too many, it makes sense.

Sorry I didn't get one either LG. I knew you were very close, but I was having a blast with the canon :D Since I was in the AC as well, i'd probably have about the same screen as Sito. :(

Ya, that was fun. Wish I could have flown it as well live as I did in practice. Your good with that cannon Chris.

Thanks Jim...your one hell of a pilot flying that AC130. I find it hard to keep the right angles for the gunners while playing that tank, lol.

You see how many times I killed Chris when we was just messing around? LOL Sorry Chris :D Got Cat a few times as well. :p
