help me choose, dual monitor LCD (DVI) setup...

Hi everyone,

Im looking at getting going with a dual monitor LCD (DVI) setup. I would prefer 19" or bigger and also need a video card (AGP) to drive the dual DVI monitors (this can come later though, already have a 9700 pro dvi/vga). I would like to spend less than $800 American, $1000 or so of my Canadian $'s.

I was thinking
Dual ViewSonic VP191b 19" LCD (Black) 8ms 700:1 ($579 Canadian) X 2
or
Dual Dell UltraSharp 1905FP (Black) 20ms 800:1 ($549 Canadian) X 2
or
?????

I have that Viewsonic - rock solid. Have had mixed experiences with Dell monitors here at work - many have been replaced, but my 20" has been good to me.

Yeah I've heard many issues related to backlighting etc.. with the Dell's but there RMA support is decent so it may be a non issue. I saw the Viewsonics in my local store and they look slick while the dell....well its a dell

ViewSonic is my vote. Do a search of this Forum for ViewSonic and you will see a lot a positive comments on the ViewSoncis.

And then add a second down the road when I can afford it.

Yeah man, viewsonic looks popular, also many of ther review on the web give it decent results commonly 9/10 or better.

Are there any video card (DUAL DVI) out there for a reasonable price that would give better performance than my 9700pro? WIthout going to a 6800 and spending $500 more
