Changing my Political Party

Post by Ghosthunter »

That right...not a joke..i know one time i was kidding around but serious this time.

But after this latest fiasco this past weekend with emergency session and a lot of things I have seen as of late and been very discouraged.

I have been looking into the Libertarian party. While I might not agree with everything 100%, after looking at all the issues and what they stand for, I feel much more comfortable calling myself a Libertarian and not a republican anymore.

Quick question, can you change your party on your election registration to Libertarian? Right now I have republican but I want that off as soon as possible.

Personally I hate these labels. This separation of us by parties is doing nothing but separating us as a country.

I agree with at least 1 thing from each party, so why should I call myself just ONE thing. I guess I may lean toward one party heavier than others, but that still doesn't mean I agree with EVERYTHING on that party.

You should be able to go to your voter registration site/place and update your information.

Yeah. That'll really teach them a lesson, GH.

I dont really subscribe to one party and like Brent I think the partisan system now causes more grief than its worth.

I have views from each side of the fence as well, that's why I am a registered independant, and that I'll vote for the person I feel is best suited for the job.

While my views are not 100% Libertarian

I dont see anything wrong with calling myself that and joining their party. That does not mean I have to vote Libertarian all the time. Just like I never voted republican 100%..though I did most of the time.

As I read more and more about Libertarian i was very impressed on how they are for liberty for all

It may not be a new concept, but it's one that a great number of people have never even thought about, let along doing.

Liberty for all....it's our Pledge of Alligence after all.....

"With liberty and justice for all"

If I would claim alligence to any party, Libertarian would be it.....but I don't conform 100% to any party.
the Libertarian Party is committed to America's heritage of freedom:
* individual liberty and personal responsibility
* a free-market economy of abundance and prosperity
* a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade.
Personal responsiblity is what I like the best.....and the peace part... :thumb:

The one Libertarian that was on the Presidential Ballot looked pretty good..he had some innovative ideas. He was from Texas I believe.
