I just use warm water on a nice soft towel or soft paper towel. I have my own well water, no city water, so no worries about dehydrated chlorine/bleach and other "stuff" left behind.

Turn your head away from the screen when you cough or sneeze, for one...

Don't read the SG forums while drinking a beverage either. You'll only end up spraying it across the screen.

This works very well for LCD & CRT monitors, but you need to make sure you are using a soft, lint free cloth when you clean it or you may damage the LCD.
There is a manufacturer that makes a sheep skin cloth special for cleaning LCD monitors, yes sheep skin (easy there MadDoctor) and it works fantastic.

A little late to the game, but I gotta say Fellowes screen cleaning wipes worked really good. I've tried windex, water, multi-surface, and none cleaned the smudges on my screen.

My screen was spotless! :thumb: :D
