Vibecomputers ROCKS!

Post by ub3r_n00b »

Wow I am soooo impressed with VibeComputers! Ok, so I go to order a computer for one of my clients and I needed it by Friday. So my order was taking a long time to process, and just ass they accept my EMT I call them, and ask them if its going to ready by Friday. And Tim from vibe tells me that it would be almost impossible to get the stuff out on time, he could try and swap parts here and there but it would be next to impossible to get it to me by friday, and it would arrive by monday.

So I am all dissapointed, and ask for a refund. And Tim says that because its Certapay, the only refund he can get me is a store credit. So now I am pretty chapped, but he told me to give him a few so that he could try something. Next thing you know, I get an EMT from Vibe for my money back (less 10 bucks handling).

Wow, they are amazing. Simply THE BEST computer store in the lower mainland! I would recommened them to ANYONE.

Well, except that they couldn't provide what you purchased in a timely manner.

well no, I placed the order on tuesday. Emailed the money transfer around 3 oclock on wednesday, which was after their EMT time. They accepted it today, and gave it back to me.

It would have left Vibe on friday, and then arrive on monday. If i would have placed the order on tuesday morning, EMT'ed the money tuesday morning, I would have already had it by now so it was sorta my fault.

I have been dealing with Vibe for a long time now, and they havent once screwed me over. They realized that I needed it for friday, and considering it takes 1 day for the stuff to ship to them, then it takes anywhere from 1-3 days for it to ship to me from UPS, they realized there was no way it was going to happen. So they told me straight up and gave me my money back which was the right thing to do. If I was dealing with NCIX they would have been like, well too bad.

after everything has been processed. I just thought it was great how fast they did it and how understanding they were. I didn't have to fight for it (which is seldom in vancouver where the english speaking are minorities).

Hello ppl! :thumb:
I saw you were talking about money transfers and since I'm interested into this subject I though I'd post here as well. Sorry if this may be a little off-topic, but I was wondering if anyone could suggest some way of receiving money from the USA into Eastern Europe. There aren't so many choices available so I thought maybe some of you could help. I want to sell a rig to someone and I don't quite have the payment method part covered. ;)
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, thanks for the welcome. It's good to be here.
Well, I also thought paypal would work, but apparently it doesn't.
It's because they don't cover my country all that well, actually they don't cover it at all. I've found that e-gold, ikobo and 2checkout are supposed to be somewhat similar to paypal. Any opinions on either of these?

Western Union is good for countries not covered by PayPal.

Mistyped -- newegg not egghead. Do you remember EggHead? They are now a Amazon Company. They used to be a brick and mortar store. Egg Head is still cheaper though.

well are Monarch and newegg located in Canada?

Because Vibe is and it is less then a stones throw away from Uber.

Well, it is good, but it's also quite expensive. Fees like 20% for a transaction aren't exactly what I'm into. Paypal would have been pretty good since their fees are somewhere around 2-3%, but as I said that won't work for me.
I've looked at 2checkout and they seem to be reasonably priced... I'm going to take a look at ikobo to see if they're any better. Any ideas?

Hi everybody. Good to be here. :thumb:
I saw that you are talking about online payment companies and since I am very interested in this subject I would really like to hear your conclusions. After all, more ideas, better results. :)
I think that moneygram is out of discussion. Their fees are much too higher compared to the ones practiced by some already established cc processing companies. The questions is what company should we choose to satisfy our immediate needs.

OK, checked out ikobo... doesn't look to bad. I like the fact that they send each user a visa card to withdraw the money from an ATM (I hope I got this right). I suppose it's worth remembering as an option...

I went there too. You are right. It seems they send you a free visa debit card to withdraw your money from it. I could add them to my options list only if I knew their fees and coverage
What are their fees ferix?
BTW: Nice hardware you got there :thumb:

They're on the website, take a closer look! The fees I mean! :rtfm:
I think it's something like 3% for transferring money, if I'm remembering this correctly. Maybe you should look harder in the future you know... maybe tell us a thing or two about what you find.
Oh yeah, thanks. ;) (the hardware stuff)

I found it. ikobo has two type of accunts: personal (where you can send/receive money with a 2.9$ +5$ transaction fee) and a merchant account (selling stuff with a 2.9% + 0.29$ transaction fee). It looks interesting but I should dig in to find out more about them.
Anyone with ikobo experience please stand up! :D
