SG HL2dm server is back up

Post by Faust »

"Speedguide.net's low-grav playground" is the name in the server list

or open the console and type "connect 69.183.18.149" (no quotes)

will leave it up for a couple/few days to see how it runs and if any issues pop up. if not, we may just let it ride.

maps:

dm_lockdown
dm_overwatch
dm_depot_beta2
dm_bounce_b2
apc_bunker
dm_crossfire2_b2
dm_docks
dm_gasworks_b3
prison_grav (kinda neat map. no weapon/ammo pickups at all. only what you spawn with........ and lots and lots of sawblades for the grav gun nuts).

feedback would be appreciated. the only pain in the arse thing is that the max number of players for the game is 16 :irate:

if you don;t mind waiting a minute or 5, the server will automatically upload them to you.

you can also find some at filepplanet (probably filechack, too). this pick list i personally uploaded to the server, and there are some ones that i just downloaded from a server that was running that map when i joined.

ach.... server crashed (the app, not the physical server).

i changed something in the config file that ideally may fix it.

anyways, its back up.

BTW, prison_grav map was kinda fun. would be kickass with a load of people. :)

'bout 6PST? i'll pop in for a few. as cool as custom maps are, it sucks that a lot of people won;t take the minute or four to download them. a few of those maps (all of them, IMO) get funner the more people you have playing.

BTW, what you guys think about the maps? any that need weeding out? keep in mind that i am really flexible when it comes to suggestions. all i was is for people to come and have fun :) .

i just got done playing for about an hour, i didn't have to wait too long to download the maps, and it was fun.

i still sometimes get some weird lagg, but maybe my connection.

BTW, thanks for all the effort you have put into this Faust :thumb:

no problem-o :)

am playing at the moment and boy, the default maps (overwatch and lockdown) sure packed 'em in. had 12 -16 players for a bit there.

hopefully since it;s been up for a lil'while peeps will stop by to keep the game rockin'.
