RP114 needs power-cycle every couple hours

Post by Loonatic »

Ive had this Rp114 for a couple years now, and its starting to really get on my nerves lately

For whatever reason, connections will all just freeze up, and I have to power cycle the router for it to work again. Before recently, it would happen maybe once a week. Never thought anything of it. Now, its every couple hours! :irate:

What would be causing this? If someone could recommend me a better router, either totally wired or wireless too, that would be of some assistance.

Thanks :D

You might want to try a firmware upgrade first - that might help.

Latest firmware, with it being the latest one to come out in a couple years. Thanks though ;)

Loonatic,

I had the same prob for 3 months, i tried everything I eventually just threw it away. I know that doesnt help you, but they are not enterprise class electronics and only last so long.

Tosser is my suggestion.
