Man its Nvidia favorite .. Not INTELs ..
I have read all the new 3D marks F.A.G.
They say that the Voodoo3 is the minimal power that you need to run this bench.
This bench will be GeForces race ,they will race the rev 2 VS the rev3 ..

I had the same problem, I had to disable my second monitor (dual monitor setup) and set my desktop to 16bit for it to install, then it worked greatOriginally posted by colour:

i'm still playing with it, i'll post scores when i tweak it all up
So far the fastest score i've seen is 3700 from a VEYR powerfull system with a GeForce2 Ultra
2000 something seems to be the average so far
it's a VERY taxing benchmarks, puts all our systems to shame, haha
The Nature scene is totally BREATHTAKING

for the Nature Scene Test you must have a 100% DX8 compatible Card AND Drivers, if even the slightest thing is off in the drivers or card for DX8 the Nature scene will not run in the Test mode
Anybody else got a Voodoo5 so i can compare my scores? heh
I got: 1592
My setup:
Abit BE6-2
P3 600E @ 800EB
256MB PC133 @ 2-2-2
Voodoo5 5500 64MB AGP Latest Official Drivers (not the x3dfx ones)
Windows 2000 Pro SP1

WOW, WOW, and more WOW!!!!!
That is GREAT.
Cannot believe the amount of detail.
They finally made a benchmark program that is ahead of the hardware.
I was totally taken by the nature effects and how my FPS dropped to nothing on the Dragon sim.
Totally AWESOME!!!
I didn't score well, but haven't had a chance to tweak either.
Just installed DX8
and New Nvidia Drivers.
Peace,
FunK

ok i just found out, the Nature Scene in 3dmark2k1 in the test mode needs a 100% pixel shader card to run, currently the only card is the GF3 and the Radeon, and the radeon is having a little trouble with it right now due to driver problems with it, but it's being worked on

it's not Madonions faultOriginally posted by colour:
from seeing all of the scenes.
it's the video card chipset makers fault for not support hardware pixel shaders
It's the video cards fault, the only two video cards that currently support hardware pixel shaders is the ATI Radeon and the NVIDIA GeForce3
you can expect all new cards to have a full vertex and pixel shader support coming out now, it's just such a new thing really...
3dmark2k1 is pushing for the future man
but madonion is in no way singling anybody out, it's just a feature that most cards don't support YET and 3dmark just goes ahead and tests for it if it's there, if it's not there then it's not there and it cant test it, heh

i'm sure if you could get that CPU higher up to 1gig at least it would helpOriginally posted by John:
I hate my system. I can't wait for some more ddr boards to come out.
I got a 1259.
Duron 700, not o'ced to 1.1ghz anymore (long story)
V3 3500 tv
KT7-raid
256mb pc133
but your V3 is very limited also
with my Voodoo5 and my cpu at 816Mhz on a 136 fsb with my mem at 2-2-2 I am pulling 1577 3dmarks right now.... I'm trying VERY hard to get it to at least 1600! hehe, I WILLLLL do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe
for comparisons sake with 3dmark 2000 default settings i'm pulling 4125 3dmarks right now
"Would you mind not standing on my chest, my hats on fire." - The Doctor
yeah i was thinking to myself why madonion put something that doesnt support all current vidcards and it came to me that its for "benchmarking the latest and future cards" 3dmark99 and 2000 was for the cards already released.
bringing me tot he conclusion that its time to start putting my new box together. same here, waiting for ddr boards to come more common place.
