Program to copy my scratched up WC3 disk?

Post by TrevGlas »

I have a kinda-old WC3 disk, and its gotten scratched up over the past two years or so. Is there a program that I can use that will copy it to another disk?

Because I just tried to install it and I was getting CD errors. crc errors and such. No this is NOT pirating related.

I'd think, if it errors out upon trying to install, trying to copy would also result in the same errors, after all, the cd eye still has to read the source disk.

Scratched CDs, I've had luck spitting on them and wiping dry, some have reported WD-40 wiped over them helps, and there are cd-cleaners out there, some that even buff down the outer layer of acrylic and reseal with a polish, so you can use old scratched cds again. I've used those with success.

You can get a cd buffer for about 20 bucks. If you have a bunch of scratched cd's it works wonders.

Alcohol 120% successfulyy burned my scratched up disk. I'm using daemon tools to mount the cd. Works great!

Thanks for the suggestions
