Swb
just installed it
played it for 10 minutes only (have to wake up early) ,and all i can say is WOW
video is stunning, (1280x1024 everything on high detail),sound is excellent (old star wars battle sound like we all know)
i will try to get some screenshots tomorrow after work so you all can see (but its gonna be released already tomorrow anyway i think)
the only problem is multiplayer it always freezes my computer (and yes i bought the game im not using pirated version) but i think it could be my firewall
anyway im going to bed, good night

The 21st. Anybody selling it before that point has broken LucasArts' street date on the game/movies.rivas wrote:i will try to get some screenshots tomorrow after work so you all can see (but its gonna be released already tomorrow anyway i think)
Of course, many stores already have, so it's nothing new...
Star Wars Battlefront. https://www.speedguide.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=153795Burke wrote:What is SWB

So it's a Star Wars BFV?64bit wrote:Star Wars Battlefront. https://www.speedguide.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=153795
Essentially, yeah.Burke wrote:So it's a Star Wars BFV?
LucasArts was floored with the success of KOTOR, that the decided that people just wanted more Star Wars games, as opposed to an ORIGINAL SW game.
Battlefront is basically Battlefield with Stormtroopers, and Republic Commando is essentially Rainbow 6 with Clonetroopers.

It's not a "mod" for either Battlefield engine, it's a whole game by itself, gotta run out and purchase it. Essentially quite similar to Battlefield in the type of game that it is, how it's played. First Person Shooter, big outdoor levels, various vehicles to jump in and out of.Burke wrote:So it's a Star Wars BFV?
I'm pumped about it...can't wait!
We do plan on running this game on the SG game server, hopefully on the same box right alongside POE. If they don't run well on the same server, I'll get another one.

POE craves lots of players. If we had a lot of players on at once, you could realize the full potential of the game to support real war. Arty in this game just isn't being utilized....and the helo's should not be taking flags as they are there in a support role. Hang back in the helo's and let the tankers/grunts do the capturing....of course if that were to happen, then you would finally see arty move to the forefront of the game to help defend and take positions. The game itself is balanced but you need a balance of firepower though player involvement to make it so. Right now...it's just a race to the flags by any means necessary.

Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.
