It's this kinda crap that only strengthens the President IMO because it gives the impression that he is being picked on.

Well, duh.The announcement was a major blow to the credibility of CBS News and its chief anchor, Dan Rather, who reported the story.
So it's ok to go ahead and report the story anyway, even tho the documents they had are fake, all in the 'spirit' of the story...Even then, Rather said no one had disputed the story’s premise: that the future president had pulled strings to get a relatively cushy National Guard assignment and failed to satisfy the requirements of his service.
The timing of the release of these 'documents' was rather suspect as well...

Smear tactics are weighing in on the American Public. I hope their time is close to passing. We need to investigate and discuss issues. Both sides need to cut it out because we are quickly playing into the hands of our enemies.
