I play every night. Where are you guys playing? I know the server has been slow but what I've found is that if you get on...even by your lonsesome, it doesn't take long for someone else to bang in, then it starts to get crazy.

:D

always up for playing. XFire is your friend. :thumb:

i played a round last night! I wish the SG server was still up and running. I could hold my own on it. These other servers are weak tho! my team was getting trashed due to no teamwork yet somehow i was still like 15-20 pts ahead of anyone on my team. I finally worked myway around and spawned a VERY far point ( our single spawn point was getting crushed) and called for reinforements and only 1 guy spawned so by the time we worked to our other spawn points we lost that one... it was bad teamworks so i just left! :thumb:

The EA servers are the rentals...the ones that peeps like you and me can rent from them to host a BFV server.

Maybe I'm wrong....but I think those are the rentals.

Yup, I just did some checking....that's them. The EA servers are the rentals but there are a few that have better CPU's than others. Most report a CPU of 2193...then you start seeing the 2400, the 2640, the 2666....so I don't understand that. Shouldn't they all be the same? I wonder how much memory they are putting on em.

I'm going by the clans that we scrimmage and have matches against. They have all had bad lag and connection problems since this patch was released.

The WWII mod comes out Friday. Don't you love how they are going to put that mod out before they patch the patch? I wonder if the new flame thrower will put out the same horrible devil's whisper that napalm does. Grrrrrr...EA..DICE...They need to give a sacrificial lamb to the BF community. I don't care if they give us a mail clerk. Someone has to die. :)

You know how to fix it right, the sound loop ??

Changing the sound buffer worked for alot of ppl but you can also drop into your sound settings and change the channels and it will go away.

Yeah I know, thanks though. Also, if you esc out of the game, click "sounds" and then esc back into the game from that screen, all you need to do to get rid of it the second time is hit esc.

Oh you meant BFV. The game that's just sitting here, not installed, waiting for EA to patch right. BF took awhile to get the bugs worked out but when they did it was worth the wait. Luckily I'm patient. :D

Well I for one think the game is fun but this recent patch is BS! They took a rocket from the huey gunship I mean come on its got two of the suckers mounted on it and both will fire at the same time in REAL LIFE! keep it realistic EA!! the MI8 just owns now so if your in hastings go NVA and you can just fly around and around the main US base and camp away which is what many do now since its harder to take the mi8 down with the gunship overall. Besides the lag and a few other bugs that have popped up the changes were not that good. Big deal that the MUTT has heat seekers they don't seek worth a damn and you only got 6 shots so ohh well for that. The new little chopper is only in one map from what I see and its supposed to be fast I don't see it going fast at all and you cant' shoot from all angles of the 2nd seat. The m60 needs to be more stable.. after all we were not all that weak in combat not to be able to hold the sucker steady when shooting it. And lastly adding a few variations to the maps such as dark instead of day or rain instead of clear might be run too. But Overall they need to patch the damn patch now...when they send it to be tested before releasing who are they sending it too?!!?!! Cause I sure as hell didn't get to test it and give my thoughts! :irate:

they are not really worried about bfv anymore..they are working on Battlefield 2...that is their main focus point and I seriously doubt you see much more from BFV in terms of development.

Last I heard BF2 due out spring 2005...I am looking forward to that..the screenshots looks amazing

Dude, the DC engine is BF1942. This is gonna be an entirely new engine, not an update to the BF1942 engine as BFV was...but ALL new. It will have two main components...FPS and Strategy. the Strategy portion will be played out by your team captain...he will exercise overall control and tell you where to go, what to defend...etc.

EA also hired the guys from Trauma studio on for this too. That's why there hasn't been much activity with DC lately. :D It's gonna rock.

BF2 looks amazing. I love the idea of a team captain, hopefully the other people will follow orders! That will add alot to gameplay. Will definatlay need headsets for it tho. The graphics look amazing, wonder what it will take to run that to its fullest! :D

Dude, I couldn't agree with you more. The month before the patch, I had 3 days play time, a kdr of 2.18, and I could seriously school some mofos. Now because of lag issues, parachutes not opening (sound, but no chute), etc... I am seriously suckin. Every damn n00b out there is getting their revenge on me. Nothing is more frustrating than going from a good game to one that runs like I have a pci video card again.
