Service packs are cumulative. Each new service pack contains all the fixes that are included with previous service packs and any new fixes. You do not have to install a previous version of a service pack before you install the latest version.
It's out, but only as an update or for business. If you have a fast connection, it should be available in the next few days for home users. I think I'll wait for the next week or so and download the whole thing.
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
I downloaded it this AM in about 10 minutes, installed it on 2 pcs so far without any issues. The only obvious noticeable difference is the Security Service which tells you if XP's firewall is enabled or not, if you have an AV app and if it's up to date and allows you to turn off or on auto update.
The other thing I noticed is the changes it makes to your TCP/IP stack, I'm still looking into that.
There is only one thing. If you have the original SP1 on file in your pc and not "sp1a", you might want to install it. SP2 must be like SP1a which would not include the Virtual Machine.
