Has Anyone Else On RR Gotten This?
ALERT!!!
Road Runner is currently dropping all .com, .exe and .pif files due to the negative affect on our network from the Zafi.B/W32.Erkez.B@mm virus. If you need to send or receive one of these files types, please make sure that the file is sent as a .zip or .gzip compressed file. Road Runner will resume accepting these file extensions as soon as possible, once the negative affect on our network is resolved.

I don't have RR for a ISP, however, it seems kind of strange to me, seeing the last time I looked on Norton's site, it was only a 2 out of 5 on the "scale"blebs99 wrote:ALERT!!!

However, on the RR network, maybe there are more users on the RR ISP that have been affected....
Blebs, have you tried to send a email out to .. say.. a web based account, like yahoo? Just to see if your ISP is truly blocking file attachments.
Could be a hoax?

The Zafi.B/W32.Erkez.B@mm virus is spreading fast.

Hello...I've been getting at least 3-5 of those emails per day so I googled the email text and found this post. It comes with an attachement and email addy are unknown to me. It makes it look like I sent them one of those files so I don't think this is an email from RR I think it's a virus. I just delete them. Anyone else found out more about this? I'm going to contact RR to see if they can shed any light.

It is a valid email from Road Runner. The Road Runner mail servers have
stripped off a possibly infected attachment from an email that was sent to
you. If you had been expecting this attachment from the person that sent
it, you would need to contact them and have them "zip" the file and resend
it.
Thanks for contacting Time Warner High Speed Internet!!!
