Connecting to LAN games from the internet

Post by KSJNX »

Hey guys,

I have a couple of outadted games (dune, Shogun total warior, warlord ed.) that i would like to play multiplayer with. But, since these are older games, the services for them seem to be nonfunctional, and the only other option is to play on a LAN. is there any way to emulate a lan, to make the game connect to a remote host, or are there programs for this or something?

Thanks.

You should be able to find out what ports the game uses in server mode...and open/forward those ports on your router/firewall, to the LAN IP address of the computers that's running as your server.

Then people can connect to your game using the WAN IP of your router.
