Kind of after the fact advice...

but NEXT time, right after you smack into something and know you're going to bruise, you can put your palm directly over the to-be-bruise and apply pressure.

Even better if you put your other hand behind the first.

Hold for 2 or 3 minutes.

I swear this works. Since bruises are a sign of blood rushing out of broken cappilaries, when you apply pressure it helps keep blood out of the area.

Let me know if this works for you, eh?

It does work. Take citrus bioflavinoids. They will decrease the effects.

speaking of bruises, does anybody know if there is a medical condition that causes excessive bruising.

I have a friend who was once falsly daignosed as having a non-treatable terminal illness (it turned out that she was allergic to soap. The doctor told her that she had Lupus, she spent over a week convinced that she had only a short time to live, and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to Irish Spring soap)

anyway, she refuses to go to doctors unless absolutely has to. It seems to me that she might have some kind of condition - she is always cold, is overweight but eats a healthy diet and excersises, sleeps quite a lot, and bruises extremely easily. I have always worried about her and wondered if this was a treatable condition. Does this ring any bells?

toothepaste. we used to use this to get out hickeys when we were kids. also works great on annoying water rings on tables.

Not really a medical condition, being prone to accidents & bruises. It is a condition though.

You will find one for one that ALL accidents occur in the presence of some sort of suppression. A person is predisposed to accidents and injuries.

For example, a guy is driving a car & has an accident. If you would dig in you will discover that he has some type of suppression in his environment, either a nasty boss, a wife that nags, creditors that are threatening his financial viability etc etc.

Suppression is the cause of stress. There are suppressive environments, suppressive people and suppressive things. A suppressive environment is one where there exists danger or threat. A suppressive thing would be a drug, a poison, dangerous creatures etc. A suppressive person is the worst type to encounter.

A suppressive person has the hidden evil intention to do harm or injure someone. These kinds of people can never be wrong, stab you in the back while pretending to be a friend, profit at the expense of all of us, and they do not have any sort of remorse or guilt when having harmed another. They make up about 2 1/2 % of the population and cause so much grief that it seems that there are many many more bad people than there really are!

Let's say that a person has an arbitrary amount of attention "units" with which to perceive and handle life. If a great number of a person's free attention is wrapped up in his problems, then he is more apt to screw up in life because he is viewing his environment with less attention than is required. He tends then to operate on "automatic" in his activities. This is manifested in such simple tasks as "going to the bathroom and not watching where one is walking" and the result is wacking a shin on a bedpost! The accident would not have occurred if the person actually saw the bedpost and was aware of his surroundings!

The same holds true for all types of accidents. The reason some people do not have accidents is because they are aware of where they are and what they are doing. And they have the ability to confront and handle the suppression they encounter in life.

A suppressive person will make you feel "held down" and "less than you are". This is the bully at work. He will rent space in your mind and give you problems that you cannot solve, such as "how to I get to school without getting my butt kicked today?". Confront that bully and expose his real motives to others and your problem will lessen and eventually disappear! And you will have some of your free attention back and be more aware.

All injury and accidents can be avoided and thwarted. This is even true in sporting activities. The other team is a form of suppression. They want to win and they oppose your goals and intentions. If their intention is greater than yours, they will win regardless of your skills and ability. What makes a great athelete? One who is aware of his surroundings when he is playing the sport and one who is able to confront the suppression in his environment without reacting to it and maintaining the same high level of intention without giving in to opposing forces. He does not get injured! Nor does he screw up. Jordan is an example. OJ WAS once like that. As were Johnny Unitas and others. Sure, they took some beatings, but they always bounced back, not because they were physically superior, but because they could maintain the same high level of intention mentally. They disagreed with the opposition!
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

Paint yer whole skin the color of the bruise then that way it would cover it up.
We have seen their kind before. They're the heirs of all the murderous ideologies of the 20th century. By sacrificing human life to serve their radical visions, by abandoning every value except the will to power, they follow in the path of fascism, Nazism and totalitarianism. And they will follow that path all the way to where it ends in history's unmarked grave of discarded lies.
