SSSWWWEEETT!!

Just type the first letter of the word last.."eminem" becomes "minemE". All the files are still on there! jillions of them!

Didn't take long for someone to take care of that, did it? :D

Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

RIAA Sucks, Napster Rules :D

That file looks pretty cool, but I don't want any of my MP3's renamed. I'll let other people do it and I'll snatch it from them :D

I could be wrong, but I thought it just disguised the file names so napster couldn't block them. In other words, you would need the program on both ends?
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

What the hell news are you guys referring too? I've been trying to follow this Napster thing, the last I heard was they had 72 hours to come up with a way to block copy-writed music.

Is what you're referring to a way of just renaming files and using the same Napster clients?

jayyy,

i read it over at cbs news i think, maybe cnet. i don't think it can be done though. i dont see how they could block ever song given to them in a list by the riaa. either way, i don't care. :D

i will continue to borrow cd's from my friends, and my "DJ" friends, its that simple.

I still wonder if napster is why my connection is so nasty. I was doin ok for awhile on @home, napster said, Oh no we closing the doors. Now peak times my pings suck. I think its cause everyone sucking down songs as fast as they can. Heard of one guy dloading like 300+ songs at one time i think. Dunno what connection, just heard it. Crazy stuff. I personally have been waiting for it to shut its doors to see if everything gets better. I like napster dont get me wrong. I still wonder if its why my connect sucks at peak times though.

RR is saying that Napster is slowing down their network.

Traffic Notice:
Road Runner is seeing higher than normal Internet traffic during peak hours attributable to the high volume of Napster activity surrounding the latest court ruling. All users may experience slower browsing and higher latency as a result. For more on the Napster court battle see, http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/napster/.
http://www.hawaii.rr.com/RoadRunner/Status/default.htm

I doubt its the root of the problem though. If anything it makes for a good scapegoat.
