Around Fukuoka Pictorial (warning- not for dial-up)

Post by jayyy »

Been trying to document the city for my emails back home, and found tons of good pics. Theres a lot more to show, but my finger got tired from pasting URLs!

These first pictures are of canal city, where I ate breakfast at wendy's every morning for 3 weeks. I took pics of my own in the last thread, but I just didnt do it justice:

These next pictures are the across building. People flip because its "environmental", whatever that means...

Night scenes, mostly Nakasu. I had a picture of it by day in teh last thread, but its just not the same:

I think this city is the FLYEST.
Funny is when a fat lady walks around while someone plays the tuba. Once you've seen that, you'll never laugh at anything else. Except maybe a skeleton dancing around while someone plays the xylophone, which is almost exactly the opposite of a fat lady walking around while someone plays the tuba. Well, a skeleton is the opposite of a fat lady. But is a xylophone the opposite of a tuba? History will decide.

I can't believe I live here now...

You should seriously consider coming out her on the Jet program for a year when you graduate, man.

The cool thing is, Fukuoka isn't famous internationally. When people are asked where they want to be posted as english teachers, everyone is like, "I wanna go to Tokyo!" or maybe Kyoto.

But a jet I know here had been to Japan before and knew what was up. She asked for Fukuoka, and poof, they gave it to her.. No-one else had asked.
