God is a God of common sense, this lady is just loony, she didn't hear God, I dunno what she heard, but it wasn't Him.

Laney was found innocent by reason of insanity Saturday in the deaths of 8-year-old Joshua and 6-year-old Luke, and the beating of Aaron, now 2. Aaron's eyesight is impaired, and doctors say he will never live independently.

the first 8 words of that statement are what really bother me. in my opinion, it should read "guilty by reason of insanity". i mean, she did kill 2 of her children, right?

maybe if she's insane she may not deserve to be cast into a prison, but at least take her out of society. if she's unable to discern between right and wrong to the point where she kills people, then she MUST.... nay, WE must be rid of the threat she presents.

Thats an interesting question, how many peoples and nations over time have been pillaged and plundered in the name of god?
God like man has the ability to do great harm, and has done so if you read the bible. Fludds, earthquakes, famine, disease and gay priests to name a few.
Who truley knows what god does or says to those who hear.

But seeing as I am a non believer, i say shes looney as a toon and should fry

I think your right. I also think she should never ever get out of the hospital, or jail, or die something she should never taste freedom again.

Have you guys heard of the dude who nailed himself to a cross to commit suicide, but stopped because he realized he couldn't nail the other hand down? He then called the cops and instead of asking for help getting him rehabilitated, he asked them to nail his other hand in.

It's not unusual for psychotic people to claim they hear voices or even God's voice..

actually the difference is the sentance she receives, IMO she is nuts but should still fry.

just another example of an religious nut gone bad, there seems to be some of those no matter what religion they practice.
