New version of 'Enter the Internet Registry'

Post by Avatar Viper »

Enter the Internet Registry is a powerful tool to tweak some of the internet settings which can boost your internet connection by 20-30%. If you have slow download speed or slow loading of web pages, this is the software for you. Compatible with most connection (ie. Modem; ISDN; Cable; DSL; LAN; T1). Download now!

What's new

Major Improvement
- Added two tutorials, one for narrowband users (ie. Modem; ISDN) and one for broadband users (ie. Cable; DSL; LAN; T1).

Minor Improvements
- Change the naming of the tabs to more meaningful names.
- Removed the Readme button, I find it redundant.
- Fine changes to the Readme file.
- Added new tweaks; MTU, EnablePMTUBHDetect, SessionKeepAlive, KeepTimeAlive and GlobalMaxTcpWindoSize.

Fixed
- Fixed a bug relating to Internet explorer settings, it should also add to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings.
- Fixed a bug relating to Priority Control, it should be IRQXPriority not IrqXPriority.

The only thing you need for your conncetion is cablenut, the right settings, and a few of the tweaks in mnosteele's tips. You won't get any better.

There are so many of these programs all over the web, some even charging money.

Kind of ridiculous.

Dont be fooled by these.

Acutally, it is a freeware and is more powerful than cablenut. It has more tweaks. You just go and try on your own and compare the results.

The only thing that it has is the "faster web page loading" tweak from mnosteel's tips... the settings they give you in the tutorial are all wrong....

If those settings improved your speed, then your settings were already messed up to begin with.

For noobs, that tool might be ok.

The tips from mnosteel is to change

DnsPriority = 1
HostsPriority = 1
LocalPriority = 1
NetbtPriority = 1

which is the same as the tutorial. I don know what are you talking.
