I've always used winamp. Right now I'm using winamp and am very happy with it. WinAmp 3 is probably the buggiest WinAmp version I've used.

I don't like using WMP for music....

Winamp 5.01

3 was horrible, totally ruined Winamp's image, but they came back with 5 and its perfect again, never crashes, etc. 5 has alot of extra features that the 2.xxx versions dont have, although I do miss my 2.666 version :( Maybe we'll have a 5.666 :D

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).

Windows Media Player. Does what it's supposed to do best: playing media files. Plus, I don't like installing 3rd party programs when I already have them built into XP.

I use Musicmatch Jukebox 8.2. It's kick ass! Can edit my albums using supertag. Displays my album covers when the song is playing. Can convert cd's and wavs to VBR. Can normalize songs. Can convert songs back to wav files. Used to have 3 or 4 programs to do all that. Now I just have one.

I just use whatever I feel like using. Normally I'll just burn a bunch of MP3's to a cd and play them on my stereo system. Works good.
Respect it.

I was a slave to Winamp until sombody told me about Jetaudio and I was hooked, the feature to make it transparent until your mouse is over it is great for me because i have to change stuff alot and get tired of minimizing or bringing something back to the top. It can burn and rip CDs as well I believe. Great pick if you want to play MP3's or CD's

I use Winamp5, I never thought I would switch from version 2 but I did and love it... Looks the same but the added video/shoutcast support is great. Ive found myself using it alot lately. Other then Winamp5 I use Real Alternative and QuickTime Alternative, just search google and you'll find them. :D

WMP9

JetAudio - It wouldn't automatically play files when I double clicked them.
WinAmp - Too bloated.
Foobar - Too plain. It puts me to sleep. ;)
