Problems with sygate need antoer firewall

hey guys i downlaod my sigate from http://www.sygate.com/
which was suggested by someone in this fourm and many others...but iv been having problems with this program..it works greatand all but the thing is that when i have this on my computer my computer takes forever to load! it shows the window desktop screen with wallpaper but my wireless internet and everything takes forever...do you guys suggest any other firewall?? and yes i did redownload the firewall

Tiny Personal Firewall's good.. you can also try a Linux router running ipchains (or iptables with the new 2.6.x kernel).

BlackIce was one of my favs, ZoneAlarm is also good. All of those products do the same thing. ZoneAlarm and Tiny are free which is nice.

Personally I don't like 3rd party applications running on my system unless they have to be. If you have XP, use the built in firewall. It will only block incoming traffic, not outgoing like ZA and a few others but it's good enough. Just keep an eye on what's on your system and practice safe computing and you'll be alright.
