need help choosing athlon xp motherboard
hi i just scored a Amd athlon xp 3200...(soooo happy when i got it)...the problem is i dont know what motherboard to go with...the computer is gonna be used for mostly gaming but, i want it to be overall fast...i want a motherboard that supports Dual ddr400 up to 3 gigs (if there is any) cause i already have dual channel ddr400 corsair memory...i was looking at the Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe but its hard to choose cause there are soo many opinions out there?...so if anyone can point me to a good, fast, reliable, and stable motherboard i would deeply appreciate it. thanx

I dont know how high of an overclock you will get with that 3200+ but it should be decent.

If you use ddr333 you ddr400 sticks will run at the ddr333 speeds. So when you overclock you ddr333 stick will be a bottleneck.

the nf7-s v2 is a great board. got mine earily for x-mass and put it to gether wiht out a hech,
the only thing is when i updated my chipset drivers it says one of my hard drivers has consistancy problem so i undinstalled it. i figured if the drive is bad i dont want to kno about it yet
and this board over clocks well, from the reviews i have read and what i have pusshed my 2500+ to, ive pushed it to aorund 3400+ speeds.

Get Abit "NF7-S v2.0" or "AN7 nForce2 Guru"
and 2 sticks DDR500 ram e.g. A-DATA or s.th else!
oc that b!tch as high fsb as possible !!!! 225-230mhz should be possible --> Mine is "only" 215 so I decide to let it run at default 200mhz speeds with 3200+ setup b/c I have only Winbond ddr400 rams.
