Thanks for any input.

I was even thinking of buying tiny version 5.0
.Description: Tiny Personal Firewall 5.0 (TPF5) represents the next generation security solution which integrates several protection layers for the ultimate safety of the desktop and server computer running Microsoft Windows operating system: Traditional Firewall - blocks the network traffic based on protocol, ports and application. Intrusion Detection and Prevention - blocks the network traffic based on the content of packets. (Malicious packet content is frequently used by hackers exploiting vulnerabilities of otherwise trusted applications, such as windows kernel components, IIS and others). Application Security - controls the behavior of applications and controls whether the application may start itself or whether it may start others. Also limited are accesses to specific internal resources such as hard disk, cd-rom and system. Files and System protection - protects your valuable data against to damage by other untrusted programs or by trusted programs run by untrusted users. TPF5 may even let your data disappear out of sight of the others.

They all have a purpose :)
but why go with the 'rest'
when you can have the 'best'

Go with TPF 5.0. That thing is COMPREHENSIVE. I have never seen so many different ways to create rulesets in my life.. and it's secure as all hell. :)
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!

BitDefender Professional Edition v7. This is one of the best security programs i have ever used. Protects it all, Antivirus, Malware, and Firewall. Very small foot print and very clean interface. They have free versions aswell but you can try the fully functional version for 30 days. I bet after the 30 you will purchase it.

None, Just Windows, Create toolbars and dock them where you want. Left is all my Programs i use most, right side is Drives and Folders and Control Panel access, and the top is all my Utillities, like cleaners, reg tools and disk defrags. Never have to go to the start menu. ;)

Make seperate folders with any shortcuts you want in them and then, Unlock taskbar, R/C---> Toolbars---> New Toorbar-----> Point to what ever shortcut folder you want. Then you can drag it out of the task bar and put it where you want. If you drag to the edge it will dock. This way you can customize without a 3rd party app using them resources. :)

I just noticed that my BitDefender Pro. Edition v7.2 does not show the Firewall options -

Firewall protection >>>
Script control >>>
Cookie control >>>
Dial activity control >>>
Block Internet traffic

as is viewed in there help files. What I would like to do is change the port settings for several applications but can't seem to find out where this is located.

You click on the little arrows right next to the feature you want to adjust. The 3 arrows >>> :)

I know about the >>> arrows to click. But these choices are NOT visible for some reason:

Firewall protection >>>
Script control >>>
Cookie control >>>
Dial activity control >>>
Block Internet traffic

The only ones that are visible in Shild & Firewall are:

Protect file system & P2P
Monitor registry behavior
Scan incoming mail

bitdefender WAS a good program but found out that the antivirus scripting was not as good as Norton or the #1 antivirus program - F-server. Plus, the for some odd reason, I could not resolve the above mentioned problem.

Solution:

Install F-server for antivirus
Install my old Tiny Personal Firewall v2.0 - the best one I've ever had for in comparison to those resource hogs and those googles of registry entries that other firewall's install!!

I'll have to put this version in a very safe place since it's not available any longer :)
