asus a7n8x deluxe or abit nf7

Post by opmharley »

ok i see that the asus reviews and stuff say its good for gaming and the abit is awsome for overclocking which do you think i should get. Im only going to be running on air cooling. there will be about 4 fans blowing into the case and 2 blowing out of it.

i was going to get a barton 2500. which would i be able to have lower temps with and higher overclocks and more performance. heard good things about both of them. which is the better one?

My vote is for Asus. You pretty much never see an Asus owner posting problems about compatibility or some issues which require an RMA.

I've seen a few here. I've sent back, DOA right out of the box, more than I can remember.

Cat your always raggin on Abit cause they used those defective capacitors way back in the day. But have you recently ever experienced any problems with Abit? I've used about 6 Abit boards from the P3 slot 1 generation up to the P4c generation and all 3 worked great and continue to work till this day.

Haven't bought a new one in probably 1.5 years. They were my favorite brand. Ask me back then and I'd swear by them, even though now and then I'd have a DOA system. I can honestly say that I've yet to send back or experience a single issue with an Asus. Sure I have 4 Abit boards right now, still running. But my number of built systems to base my experience on is well into the hundreds, not just a handful or even a dozen or so.

I just try to stick with what proves itself to work over the long run. Everybody has their own experiences, and brand preferences/loyalty. And yes experiences do vary.
