Speedguide pumpkin carving contest...

Post by JawZ »

Will there be one? It's almost time. While I can't be involved I will help to provide a prize if everyone wants to do it again. ;)

OK. :D :cry: :mad: <=== There's my 3 entries.

Really though, sure, I'm game.

Gonna need proof of, er...makeage. Pic of yourself, next to completed product...with all the inners around, and messy hands.

We'll come up with the rules, prize details, etc in a few days. We need to get the boss in on this (Phillip) and then we'll take it from there. But as it stands...we already have $125 to go towards a prize.

In the past, we have either been late in announcing the contest or we didn't really have much participation.....hopefully, this will change things.

thanks YOSC!

We'll need at least 10 participants for this contest. It's no fun with 3 or 4 people. So I think that we'll set a date...probably around the 15th of October for signups....now this doesn't mean that you can't still sign up for the contest after the 15th....hell, you can sign up to the very last minute...but we need to have at least 10 people sign up by the 15th for this to work. Max participation is the goal.

In other words....let's have some fun with this!!!!!!

I won't be about to contribute in the making of the pumpkin but I can contribute in voting. :D

I think we had only 6 or 7 entries last year.

Tell me about it. Two Platinum cards...all too easy to plink down on the xt or Intel EE when it comes out. Buy now..pay later..ugh! Not good for compulsive folks like me. Not that I'm going to get the XT, I'm already OC'ing my current 9800p to those speeds..but the EE will get me sure enough when it comes out.

No entry fees, and the winner is judged by voting, from the pictures taken. Pictures need to have the username handwritten on a piece of paper or something of the sort on the picture as a "proof of makeage" ;)

I think we need a formal rules thread

Pickin' them on the morrow. Expect yet more baby pics :rolleyes:
I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.
