I just picked up one of those air conditioners that goes in a window from a friend that was moving. My room faces the sun from afternoon on and it can get VERY hot. The thing is I have a arched window about 6 feet high and I don’t really want to worry to much about setting this A/C up with summer over and the weather cooling off.
My question is can I just set this thing on a table and let it run? Why does it have to go in a window?

ok i ve stopped laffin...
because it would be fighting itself...it throws out cool air on one end and hot air on tthe other end...the hot air is a result of the cooling process for the cool air...
hmmmm inless you did some duct work but then you would have to still put up with the noise of the thing...
