You haven't even been around much lately. How the heck are you anyhow? I'm running out of people to pick on. Norm went and got a job, so he's not around much. What am I going to do? :(

Well blebs :D
You seem to have amassed a host of volunteers for bashing, so you really don't need norm or myself as recipients...lol :p
I have not been here as often as I would like....I am revamping my SOHO equipment room with new routers and switches and ebaying (one major garage sale a few weeks ago) the stuff that I have not used for 2 yrs.
What was I doing with those old ATI cards and the token ring nic cards, I have no idea.....I am a pack rat...I may use them someday, but someday never comes.
I sold three (3) modems for $5 (2x33k & 1x56), but I still kept one 3Com 56K (just in case)...lol
I should be completed in another few weeks then I can see the floor and the desk....lol
What can I say.... hehehehehe.
I will be back.

OMG..I am so sorry to hear that Thorazine.

I sincerely hope that you are on the mend and improving with each passing day.

Hey denolth2...hang on there my friend...don't give up hope. I do emphasize with your frustration. However, things will get better.

I had a been walking on a torn ACL for the better part of a year which shredded the menscus (sp?) in my knee. I didn't realize this until I torqued my knee finishing the job. So the first surgery was to repair the menscus and the second one was to do the actual ACL reconstruction. It sucked, still sucks but wouldn't wish it on even my worst enemy. I can walk now which so I'm not complaining too much. I'm about 3 months passed the reconstruction and I'm still having slight difficultly climbing stairs but not a biggie 'cause I still haven't gotten my quads back into preop shape.

As far as my layoff is concerned. It was f'ed up. I had been working on huge project (the biggest project the company had ever had) and once it was complete they fired me (two hours after the exit conference call they canned me!). I trained their staff, got them gold certified with MS (the project above was the reason) and generated close to a million in profits in the ~2 1/2 years I was there. But of course none of that means *****, they decided they didn't like me one day and boom out the door. Or it might have been that they didn't have a projects for me and didn't want to pay my rather high salary.

But I'm not gripping, I'm happy. They forced me into critically evaluating myself. So I formed a company and went into business with another guy from the firm who quit. I'm working an assload lately but couldn't be happier because everything I make goes to my bottom line. I'll never work for someone else again. I'm lucky in the sense that when I get fired I seem to make more money at my next job.

I think it's cool that you have that back up plan and it's working out for you. Everything I tried, I ended up spending money and never making any. I think I need to learn a few new trades.

When I was in rehab with my hip, I saw some knee patients and the looked to be in a hell of alot more pain then I was in, and I was in a lot of pain. I had to ask. Glad it's coming along.
